Guavasteen
Guavasteen, also known as Feijoa or pineapple guava, is not a true guava but a cousin from the same Myrtle Family. Guavasteen actually grows in colder weather climates and can be found from Southern Brazil, in higher South American mountains, all the way up to North Carolina… yes, it even grows in WNC! Guavasteen has a potent, exotic flower perfume, and tastes like pineapple, apple, and minty guava. Very different from the pink guava fruit.
