After two years absence, the Melonelle, a Melon Chanterelle Saison is back! This year the conditions and coincidences were right for the Melons and Chanterelles to come together inside this rare seasonal.
Hints of melon on the nose, petillant melon tangy on the tongue with a reminiscent peachy earthiness from the chanties. An odd eclectic combination of adjuncts in a saison that permeates the palate with brightness.
We used local organic melons from Farmer Gregg’s Produce and freshly locally foraged Chanterelles (thank you Chuck and Kimber).
