Purple Finch, Purple Yam IPA Folks it’s that time of the year when we bring back this seasonal, session, full bodied juicy hazy IPA. Brewed with Southern Select 2-Row malt from Riverbend Malt House and roasted organic Purple Yams (technically a purple sweet potato) locally grown by Farmer Greggs Produce and our farm. Hopped and dry hopped with Citra, Zythos, Belma and Azzaca. A good malt character with undernotes of roasted caramel from the yam’s baked sugars. Beautiful pink milkshake, sessionably quaffable at 5.5% ABV, yet with a full mouth feel, and pronounced citrus notes with grapefruit highlights. Zing on the tongue and pop on your taste buds! Too bad it’s only available once a year or we would be drinking it yearlong!
