Jodi John & Possum Royale – 6:00pm
Jodi John is a narrative songwriter, vocalist, and musician. She has been writing songs for over 30 years and has prioritized bringing people together to nurture the craft of songwriting in the region. In 2017, Jodi founded the Asheville Songwriters Association with the support of other local songwriters. She has been connected to the music scene in Western North Carolina and the Piedmont since 1998 and looks forward to shifting gears in 2023 by increasing her public performance and audience connection.
POSSUM ROYALE is Richard Brock and Todd Hoke: two fairly nice guys who have been playing music together for over 20 years — their longstanding friendship comes across in the music. This particular performance will feature newer songs that Todd has written and shared with the Asheville Songwriters Association over the last few years. Songs about junkies, hearses, sunrises, and barflies will be featured.
